About Me

Randy HendersonI picked up my first camera in 1972. I loved it from the start; and won my first local photo contest when I was 14.When I got to college, I took every photo class they offered, and ended up as a lab instructor for the University of Idaho. That’s when I decided I needed to take a huge leap of faith.I left my job, left Idaho, and studied professional photography full time for 2 years in Spokane Washington. While my focus was on commercial and studio work, I also concentrated heavily on portraiture.

After graduating, I married my wife and moved to the Midwest. I have, to varying degrees, been taking pictures every since. My experience has ranged from family portraits to magazine photography to catalog and architectural work.Because of that, I don’t line up 6 clients each day and rush them through, nor do I force sales on anyone to pad my checkbook. I’m not the local fast food restaurant – I would rather think of myself as the little corner restaurant that serves a few home-cooked meals
